To travel within the European Union (EU) as an Irish resident, you only need one of three things for all passengers aged 12 and over:ġ) An EU Digital Covid Certificate showing proof of vaccination at least 14 days prior to travellingĢ) A certified negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of your arrival into your chosen EU destinationģ) Certified proof of recovery from covid-19 within the last 6 monthsĪll EU countries, including Ireland, require you to fill out a Passenger Locator Form at least 24 hours prior to travelling. The departures hall was very busy, so I strongly recommend arriving to check in for your flight or to drop your bags at the bag drop desk at least 3 hours in advance. There is just a handful of things to do that take no time at all and are only the tiniest bit of inconvenience for the greatest of reward - a well earned holiday!įrom my own recent experience travelling through Dublin Airport, I can attest to the fantastic measures put in place by the DAA to ensure all passengers safety. Let me put you at ease and tell you from my own first hand experience, travelling is much the same as it's always been with a few small exceptions for the times we're in.

With the reopening of travel from Ireland to the rest of the EU and beyond since the 19th July 2021, most people were still a bit apprehensive about travelling during a pandemic but as our confidence grows again and planes, airports, resorts and cruise ships reopen and restart their businesses, travel is bouncing back stronger and safer than ever!!
